These are my favorite landscapes. From minimalist to dynamic, dawn to dusk, spring to winter, there’s a little bit of everything.
Sunrise at Split Rock Lighthouse on Lake Superior, December 2019
Sunrise over Lake Superior, March 2019. This is one of the very first images I took with Diva and, regretfully, one of the images I overlooked the longest, not giving it a good look until fall 2021
Old Ways - A set of abandoned railroad tracks in early spring wait to take you on a journey
Cascade Birch, March 2019
Great Blue Heron at Minnehaha Falls. This was captured in the summer of 2019 and using a high aperture to slow the water without a filter. Thankfully a hunting heron is a very cooperative subject for long exposures!
Frosty New Year - A beautifully frosty morning in January 2021 allowed for some gorgeous photography.
A beautiful autumn morning in 2019 near Wausau, WI provided perfect conditions for this bucolic farm scene
A 2021 family trip to celebrate the end of fall still provided us some amazing late color. The contrast with the cloud cover was a sight to behold.
Willow Falls - 2020 A beautiful, late summer morning, just at sunrise before there were visitors taking advantage of the falls on a hot day. To have these falls all to myself for an hour was quite amazing.
Summertime Serenity - 2019 It was late evening waking a walk near my parents place, a walk I know very well, and I was heading home when the sky provided this gorgeous, purple hue and was almost perfectly reflected in the water.
