Thunderstorms have always held a fascination for me. The tornado scene in Wizard of Oz terrified me when I first saw it as a toddler and I distinctly remember hiding under the table during that part as a kid. I have no doubts that this is what fueled that fascination with clouds and weather as I got older. Here you will find a selection of my favorite storm images, almost exclusively post 2019. Here there will be a mix of DSLR photos as well as those I got in the spur of the moment when all I could do was grab my cell phone. I hope you enjoy the power and the beauty Mother Nature provides!

Kansas Supercell - A gorgeous supercell near Goodland Kansas, May 26, 2021

The Goodland, Kansas supercell draws nearer. It is very hard to convey the color of the light coming from the middle of the clouds and how turquoise it was. Truly the most beautiful storm I've seen up close.
